SUCCEEDING UPPERCUT FROM HAND FORWARD TO HEAD

Here's how to land a front hand uppercut:

  1. Take your basic tiptoe position. Practice your jab before hitting an uppercut to plan the correct distance. Keep your other hand up to cover your chin.

  1. Find the ideal distance. Support yourself on your front foot and lean slightly to your left.

  1. Grant your uppercut straight up. Make sure your hips move up and to the right simultaneously to transfer your weight to maximize your strike.

  1. After hitting your opponent remember to bring your front hand back in line with your chin.
