Here's how to land a front hand uppercut:
- Take your basic tiptoe position. Practice your jab before hitting an uppercut to plan the correct distance. Keep your other hand up to cover your chin.
- Find the ideal distance. Support yourself on your front foot and lean slightly to your left.
- Grant your uppercut straight up. Make sure your hips move up and to the right simultaneously to transfer your weight to maximize your strike.
- After hitting your opponent remember to bring your front hand back in line with your chin.
